Goldfish 2010

Goldfish 2010 is launched today. 

Goldfish is the online journal that showcases work by students on the MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College, University of London. 

This latest edition offers poems, life writing, short stories and novel excerpts - by 39 diverse, emerging writers.

Atmosphere

The word atmosphere has been reverberating in my head all week since watching the latest episode of Prof Brian Cox's astonishing BBC 2 series, Wonders of The Solar System.

As writers we aim to create atmosphere in our work - a mood, a prevailing emotional 'weather' that shapes the story or poem. Watch the concept expand before your eyes as Cox brilliantly reveals how different atmospheres shape each planet. Fantastic filming and his enthusiasm effortlessly reveal the correspondences between patterns and forms found on earth and those found billions of miles away.
