Congratulations to Ross Raisin who has been short-listed for yet another award for his debut novel, God's Own County. This time it's for the 2010 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
Books are nominated by librarians so making it to the long-list already means these books have been widely read.
The shortlist of 8 titles was selected from a total of 156 novels nominated by 163 public library systems in 123 cities worldwide.
The winner will receive €100,000. Read more about the prize here.
Read what the judges said about some of the books that didn't make the shortlist ['sloppy', apparently] here.
