Not sure it was benign - I think Deller is clever - the way he juxtaposes things - far more effective than the sledgehammer approach - I think by NOT being so overt he really gets under your skin. The room with Bowie and 1970s unrest is pretty overt... the video I posted here was only an intro. The film in the exhibition is very powerful you can view it here - worth the 15 mins

Odd to hear of trickery as magic and oligarchs (Blairovich the looter) and wmd's... too benign. Maybe the Venice exhibition was more political, was it the same video?
Thank you so much for putting this up...it needs an excursion clearly to Margate
